About 4Rooks
4Rooks brings Composable Systems to the embedded industry. We turn shared functionality into shared code, enabling up to 90% reuse across even wildly different devices. By composing firmware from reusable, auto-generated foundations, development drops from years to months, reducing both cost and risk. ROSA generates ready-to-run architectures, integrates specialised partner modules when needed, and supports devices across hardware generations with long-term updates. This approach aligns with Europe’s priorities: technological sovereignty, sustainable electronics through long lifecycles and reuse, and open ecosystems built on collaboration instead of lock-in. Lower development costs, faster iteration, and stronger innovation pipelines give product teams real strategic leeway. 4Rooks pairs this technology with an adaptive way of working so teams can evolve faster, deliver more reliably, and build products that last. We Scale. Because the future is composable.
CEO/Founder - Markus Fischer
Markus is a principal systems architect specialising in embedded and connected device platforms.
He has more than 15 years of experience in embedded systems engineering, high-performance software architecture, and large-scale system design.
At Mercedes-Benz, Markus led the integration and platform architecture work for major software initiatives, including the MBUX infotainment system, Secure Onboard Communication, and the introduction of Mercedes App Support.
Earlier in his career, he designed high-performance computation frameworks for advanced physics research.
What drives Markus is a commitment to efficiency, clarity, and robust system architecture — and a belief that Europe would benefit from building more of its own foundational software in order to maintain stability, competitiveness, and innovation excellence.
